When Jesus Was a Green-Eyed Brunette

When Jesus Was a Green-Eyed Brunette
Loving People Like God Does
Written By:  Max Davis

Book Overview:

As best-selling author Max Davis puts it, “Jesus is very much alive today and still does incredible things—sometimes supernatural things—through us!” Those hurting and weary from worn-out religion are longing for a fresh touch from the living Jesus. Davis challenges us to do more than simply receive God’s grace—we need to allow grace to soften, change, and shape us. As you read this book, you will laugh, cry, and come face-to-face with the living Jesus, much like Davis did, meeting him living in a green-eyed brunette.

My Thoughts:

My favorite quote, "Books are missionary tools." I enjoyed reading this book.  I must say the title was a bit catchy and it piqued my curiosity. I enjoyed reading about the faith stories.  None that started out as such, but those whose lessons were just as important. I have learned that often times that is how life works, we don't know when or who will need us and how God will use us.  I like how the author talks about one example of taking his shoes off and giving them to a homeless man and how it changed his life.  I like the way the book ended, giving us all a point of reflection in thinking back to when we met Jesus for the first time, who was He living inside?

This is a story about God's grace, how it works in us and through us to reach others in a way that none other can pull off .  I will be reading this book again in the near future.

I received this book from FlyBy Promotions in exchange for an honest review, but my opinion of it is my own.
